Best Steam Mops Floors

I purposely let the white kitchen floor get dirty, dirty before using this mop. There was stuff stuck to it that I'm not sure what it was! This mop took it all off the floor! I researched before I made this purchase and this is well worth the price. I can't see spending $80+ for one of these. The manual sez the steam will last for 12 min but my second fill only lasted 7 min; I forgot to time the first fill. It has continuous steam and the pads are thick. The handle is adjustable and has clips to wrap the cord. I got around my 12x16 floor just fine. If you were ever thinking about buying a steam mop (I was not until a friend of mine raved about hers, different brand tho), buy this one. Well worth the price. You will throw out all your mops. UPDATE, May 18, 2011 After lack of use (I started using a swiffer wetjet a ways back for spot cleaning), the mop decided not to heat up :(. I took it apart but could not find the problem. There was no corrosion at all. I did purchase another at the Home Depot for $25!!!. I will use this one more often and make sure to use distilled water as recommended.

When I opened the box containing this little steamer, I was disappointed. It is very small and light. But my doubts were soon put to rest. I live in the country and have two dogs that are always bring in dirt and dust. This little guy picks it all up and leaves a clean, dry floor behind. The old mop is already in the trash. This thing is great!

This little beauty is wonderful.I thought about getting a more traditional cleaner but even though the initial cost was lower, all the add-ons made the per use cost ridiculous. Not to mention the residue...Other reviewers have said it left their floors very wet. I think they didn't read the instructions clearly where it tells that if the floors are very wet the micro-fiber pad isn't properly aligned. When the pad's on right they dry in a jiffy. Much more quickly than traditional mopping. And the steam smell is wonderful, like fresh linens.I also thought-as other reviewers have-"How can my floors really be clean without a cleanser?" Well, recently I spilled something on the floor 2 days after I'd steamed it. When I wiped up the spill there was absolutely no dirt on the clean up cloth--just the spill itself!Remarkable.

There is a reason this product carries the good housekeeping seal of approval.It is of superior quality! A call to customer service resulted in the addition of a small amount of vinegar to the distilled water in the tank to enhance it's cleaning ability. I also leaves a nice clean aroma in the air along with the clean floor. customer service states the addition of the vinegar will not harm the unit.

I got the mop for Christmas. I used it after my company left on my ceramic and hard wood floors. It did a good job cleaning. I just felt like they weren't clean enough without any kind of floor cleaning product but everything I have read says steam is better. Time will tell if I get used to that. I did not experience too much water left behind as some of the other reviewers found. Mine came with a separate piece of paper inserted in the manual that said to only use 200 ml. of water and not the recommended 250 ml. printed in the manual. I would recommend it to others.

I purchased this mop a little over a month ago and have used it at least 1 to 2 x a week since. I am very happy with the results. I read the other reviews that said it leaks and leaves to much water on the floor and I did not find this to be true at all. New directions say to use just 200cc of water. The mop heats up quickly and does a very nice job of getting the floor clean. I have a black lab that sheds alot and even though I vaccum first the micro fiber pads still pick up more dog hair. The pads are very easy to clean and don't get sour smelling like a sponge mop. I have used it on my kitchen floor that is in good shape but probably at least 30 years old and on my painted basement floor, it did a great job both places. With pets and young grandchildren I like that I am not using any chemicals. Less expense and fewer plastic bottles in the land fill. Due to physical problems I can no longer get on my knees to scrub floors and just didn't feel like string mops or sponge mops were getting the floor as clean as I like. This mop is fun to use and I feel like my floors are really clean.

I have hardwood floors through out the entire first floor of my home that are a pain to clean. I read the reviews on this with some being great and some being poor.I have to say to the people who say it takes their floors forever to dry or leaks water they must be doing something wrong or have a defective unit. I had zero issues as long as you follow the directions and don't over fill the unit with water.My floors have never been so clean with such little effort. I will stick with the brand for a long time.

This is my 2nd Steam Mop. First one (different brand) died after 2 years. One of my criteria for a steam mop is that it must have continuous steam. I do not like steam mops like the Shark where you must pump the mop in order to create steam. The second item to look for is how many WATTS the steam mop is. Anyting under 1,000 Watts is not really worth considering. Third is the convenience of putting on the microfiber pad. The velcro pads are the way to go.This mop is not perfect but pretty good for $39. It is sturdier then most steam mops, has continuous steam generation, has 1,000 Watts of power, and velcro micropads. Some people left feedback that it left the floors too wet, but they have since revised the manual and recommended that you only use 200ml of water at a time in the tank instead of 250ml as indicated in the manual. The only negative comments I have is that they tank is fairly small at 200ml and the head does not swivel which makes it tough to get in small areas (such as around toilets). Overall for $39, great deal and does the job..

used this for the first time today on the ceramic tiles in my kitchen. it was in some serious need of cleaning but the scrubbing always killed my back. i was amazed how it just cut through the foot path that goes through the kitchen out the back door. and the ring around the dog bowl - yeah - cut right through it. it would be nice if it lasted longer - but right about the time it runs out of steam - so do i. i just sit down - take a little break - and about the time i'm ready to go again - so is it!!! quite a little trooper. definitely worth the money. will be interesting to see how long it lasts. but even if it only lasts 6 months - it's paid for itself in time i've saved cleaning the floors. it usually takes me 1/2 hour to clean the kitchen floor (i have a "country kitchen"), it took me 15 minutes!~~and it was definitely cleaner than i ever got it!.
