I have only used this a few times, but I really like it. The steam stays on the floor, not all over the place like my Mom's Shark. It's quiet, and heats up quickly. My floors feel clean without being overly wet.

let me say that I normally don't write reviews but I felt this product should get one. I spend several days reading reviews on several floor steam cleaners and finally decided on this one bc I wanted a hand held portable one to use in the bathroom and kitchen and this had both of the things I wanted.Let me start with the floor part of it first. It is a wonderful product that does exactly what it is suppose to do and does it in record time. This was easy to put together out of the box, took me only a few minutes. It takes all of 20 seconds for this to start steaming and the run time on steam is about 20 to 25 minutes. For me that was more than enough time to do my kitchen floor and my hardwood hallway and boy did it clean. My floors felt really clean and nice to walk on in your bare feet. And by the way I have 3 large dogs and a 3 year old grandson that is here all the time. When I finished with my bare floors I popped on the carpet glider and steamed and refreshed my LR carpet. Since my grandson has a heart condition i am glad that now I can steam away dust mites and clean my floors without chemicals.All in all I love the floor end of this product. It's great and does a really good job.Now thw hand held unit.....well thats why I gave this a 4 star and not 5. It is hard to hold for any length of time. Same great start up and steam time but my hand and arm got tired doing the tile in my bathroom. It cleaned really well and I felt good about not having to use chemicals in the bathroom and ending up with a chemical headache for hours. But if you have a big job to do plan on doing it over an afternoon so you can give your hand and arm a break.I think this is a really good product and plan to purchase one for each of my daughters for Christmas this year.

If you are looking for something that will magically clean your grout, then I don't think any steam cleaner will do that for you. Instead, if you want something that will help remove some grout, and something that will clean up simple stains on your tile, clean windows/mirrors, then this is perfect. I highly recommend it.

My Haan SI70 was just delivered this afternoon. I pulled it out of box and started using it right away. It did a fantiastic job on my hardwood floors. My wood floors are dark, so they never look dirty, but I could feel the difference on my feet, the floors felt great after using my new Haan. I also used the carpet glidder/sanatizer, I have all hardwood floors with a few area rugs, which are not dirty, but just wanted to try out the carpet glidder. The power cord is very nice at 25', I don't have to unplug so often. I haven't had a chance to use it on my granite tops yet, but I can only assume it will do a wonderful job as well. So far loving it :) I previously had a Shark floor steamer and it did okay, but it was flimsy and the unit did not hold up.I only gave it 4 stars because I haven't tried all of the accessories yet and since I just received it I will have to wait to see how well it holds up.

I have used a Shark and that worked great on my stubborn 35 year old flooring. I was looking for something that will clean laminate flooring as well. The shark (I borrowed)got the floor clean but was way too wet for laminate. Bought this and love it. I will say that the Shark did get it cleaner on the first pass but again it was way too wet for my needs. I am not sure why others say it does not clean, my pads were filthy and the floors were clean. Also used the handheld brush and pad cleaner for my tub/shower and it worked fantastic, to be honest I was going to replace the tub because I could not get it clean now I do not have to. I am not sure how the "finger" steam, part would do anything but I guess I will see. I would not hesitate to use this on laminate or wood floors. the floor gets warm but there is no water on it at all, dries in seconds.Love that the steam is continuous, also I feel it is safe to use around my son and pets. Overall geat sturdy construction, easy to use. It also states in the book that the pads will be too wet to clean/sanitize after 10 minutes but I did not have any problems. Washable pads are nice too.

This product is pretty decent. I've used it a few times now and am pretty confident that it sanitizes...in terms of cleaning, it does clean but definitely not like if you are using a detergent for your floors...In any case, you'll probably need to vacuum the floors first before using this product since you don't want to be dragging and pushing the dirt around. Another thing about this product is that the hand held cleaner that detaches from the system is pretty handy. The only drawback that I noticed was that when i was using this to clean and sanitize the kitchen counter (Granite), the pad that came with it gets wet really quickly and leaves streaks of water on the counter. I had to end up drying the counter with another cloth. Other than that, i like it. It does what its made to do.

I always had a thing for mopping. I can admit that.But nothing has ever cleaned as well and slayed my allergies in one purchase. My bathroom is spotless.The handheld sold me on this unit. It's as hot as advertised and I really can tell the difference. The dirt softens and after using it on carpet, I don't know how I lived with a dog this long and didn't have one. I vacuumed, steamed the carpets and then vacuumed again. The second pass with the vacuum required me to clean out the canister TWICE because it picked up so much dirt & dog hair. I am amazed... and vaguely disgusted.The steam is hot enough that there is little moisture on the carpet itself. It dries in a jiffy.However, I suggest that you do yourself a favor: go to the manufacturer website and get the noodle pads for pets. The ones that come with the unit are great. The noodle ones fill me with awe. They get in the nooks and crannies and leave no fur behind.

I received this today, I must admit I buy almost everything from Amazon but I was not prepared to wait the 4-7 week lead time to get it. I got it from Walmart for less money and I received it in 2 days with regular shipping which was only 87cents!My Bissell Green Tea steam mop basically just died only a year after I bought it, I used it twice or three times a week and even though it was better than a regular mop I was never overly thrilled with how wet it left the floors, a sure sign that it wasn't hot enough.After reading tons of reviews etc I went to the Haan website to see if they had any new products and yes they did, I read about them and then went searching for the best online deal.I chose the HAAN SI-70 Multi Multiple Purpose Floor Steamer because I liked the versatility, although I am not sure how much I will use the hand held. I assembled it in five minutes and got cleaning my floors and my 2 area rugs. The steam is very hot and there is no need to keep pressing a button, it cleans extremely well and basically your floor will take a second or two to dry, I did about 800 sq ft with just one pad and it still wasn't soaked. I then did both my rugs with the carpet tool, that you attach instead of the pad. Honestly, I never take the time to write reviews but I have to say I am very impressed and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a superior steam cleaner for the home..

This steamer is closer to the one I have been trying to replace that's no longer made.. a Sunbeam floor steamer.It's a little heavier than expected but not heavy enough to make it cumbersome. Assembly was no problem, mostly completed without the directions. I've used this steamer on tile, laminate. linoleum and my glass cooktop and it's done a pretty good job. The steam does come out at 212 degrees.. I stuck a candy thermometer under it before my first use.The two included pads attach beautifully.. no need to deal with a string or elastic above the mop head.. just land the unit on them and go. They also go a long way before needing to be changed. I had to refill the water before needing a pad change. They do hold quite a bit of water and dirt. Two pads managed to get our living/dining room combo and a good portion of the kitchen. Rough estimate is about 400 square feet before having to stop because both pads were used. I am going to need to order an extra pack unless I want to have to wait a day for the pads to dry before continuing cleaning. Including 3 or 4 pads would have been better for the customer but from a sales perspective, only including two does encourage return customers.The included smaller mopping head goes right behind toilets.. swivels nicely, though the pad that came with that part seems a little flimsy compared to the two main pads - I used a rag under the mop for heavy dirt before using the included pad for the small head.Detaching the hand held unit is very easy. Using the hand held .. a little awkward on other than floors. I used it on my cooktop and at counter height it could use a handle at a different angle. Gripping for counter tops - even for a tall person - comes from under than handle rather than above. It felt more like holding a spear than a mop.The little scrub brush attachment managed to get up some gunk in my grout that only muriatic acid would touch before. Actually the brush loosened the gunk.. a rag got it up off the floor. I will probably wear that little brush out fast.I have yet to test it on bathroom tile walls.. again holding the hand held unit for that task will be very awkward.As long as this machine keeps working as it does now, it's a 4 star steamer..

I found the steamer to be all it was said to be. I wish there was an attachment to clean windows and blinds. I have been puzzled as to whether they are meant for laminate floors. Some say no and some say yes. No problem with laminate flooring as yet..
