Best Steam Mops Floors

After much research, I decided to purchase this floor cleaner and am SO happy with my selection. The Hann arrived very quickly, packaged in it's original box. It was packed well enough in that, that an additional shipping box was unnecessary. The item description doesn't tell you everything that is in the box. Mine came with the cleaner (love the red!), 2 microfiber pads, the carpet glide, the resting floor pad (which is NOT a tray as specified in the descriptions for the other colors of Haan SI-25), and 12 packets of Fresh Rinse Lime and Scale Remover (a 1-yr supply).I opened the box this morning and put the Haan together - very easy and very light weight, even with the tank full of water! In total, it took me 1.5 tanks of water to wash my kitchen, dining room, bathroom, 1 bedroom, the entryway and hallway. They say a tank of water lasts ~ 20 mins - I think it lasted longer. As the directions specified, there was a clicking sound after I first turned on the Haan - that was the water moving into the pump. This sound quickly stopped, and the cleaner was as quiet as a church mouse during use. I found the cleaner very easy to push around our hardwood floor and tile bathroom. It even fit in between the toilet and wall! As directed for stuck on stuff, I allowed the steam to be on the area for a few moments, then wiped back and forth a few times. Everything came right up.The floor looks fantastic!!! Do read the instructions regarding floor pad cleaning - I decided to hand wash mine because I'm not going to throw it in the delicate cycle with my work clothes. Washing it that way, I really saw all the dirt that was cleaned from my floor!! Based on other recommendations I read, I also bought 4 extra floor pads. While Haan recommends changing the floor pad every 10 mins, I didn't. After ~ 40 mins of cleaning, the pad did not dry the floor because it was saturated (as expected) - the floor did dry within moments so I was still happy. Also, where the floor was not vacuumed well and with the floor pad saturated, I did in the very end push some cat hair around that didn't stick to the floor pad during cleaning. Again, I can't complain because I chose not to follow the instructions, and was still happy with the cleaning results.The Fresh Rinse Lime and Scale Remover is recommended to be used monthly to keep the inside of the cleaner clean. I didn't see anywhere in my research that this was an issue, and will likely follow the instructions on this one.Overall Summary:Pros:- cleaned the floors REALLY well!!!- fit between toilet and wall in bathroom (big plus!!)- light weight- easy to use- was safe to use around my cats and 4 children (1.5 - 2.5 yrs old)- floor pad was easy to attach, detach, wash & hang dry- the low profile allowed me to clean under the cabinets and front of refrigerator (and everywhere else I wanted to)Cons:- Personally, I'd like the tank to be a little bigger- I had to unplug and replug the cord in a total of 3 times to hit all the areas that I did.- The floor pad is a bit larger than the head of the cleaner, which means that the steam and cleaning really don't get to the edge of the pad. I.e. the absolute corners and wall below wall boards are not perfectly clean.All in all, none of the cons will stop me from using the cleaner or make me regret my purchase. Yes, I would recommend this to my best friend!Note: I did not use the carpet glide today, but am looking forward to using it to 'freshen and sanitize' my carpet (cats, baby formula, etc). I'll update my review to provide feedback on that performance as well.UPDATE: I finally used the carpet glide on all the area rugs in the house: one is very thick, 2 are very thin, and 1 is of average pile. The steam killed all odors and seemed to 'brighten' the colors in the rugs, which I didn't expect and was likely caused by the moisture on the rug. The rugs dried relatively quickly since they weren't saturated by a typical steam cleaner. So, no worries about mold forming under the rugs for me. I like having a way to kill the dust mites since that is one of my allergies, not to mention increasing the general sanitary conditions for my children. I have also used the steamer with floor pad attached on the interlocking anti-fatigue foam floor mats that are in the children's play area and was happy with the results. All-in-all, I'm still happy and recommend. The only thing I am going to change is to use 2 floor mats instead of 1 when doing the first floor of the house - I am seeing some streaking when I try to make the soaked floor pad stretch instead of following the Haan recommendation of changing the pad when it gets soaked.

I am in L.O.V.E. with this mop! It's hands-down the best!I've had experience using the Eureka Enviro (big & bulky) and the Shark (hand pumping the steam?!) and they both are nothing compared to this little mop! It definitely packs a punch! I love that it's super-lightweight, the water canister pops right out (no bending down to fill), the pads don't require any fighting to change, and that it's ready to rock & roll after 30 seconds.The only reason I gave this 4/5 stars is that the cord is on the shorter side, but it's nothing that I can't deal with.This is worth every penny! You will not regret your purchase!

Greetings All - just thought i'd share my thoughts on this floor mop - 1st! let me say what i thought i'd never say - "I now look forward to doing my floors!" (whew! there, i said it!) - silly, huh? believe me, i didn't think i would say such a thing, especially after reading some other reviews of this item, where some folks said the same thing. -yeah, right!- i thought! - ok, so here i am and saying the same thing - i really do look forward to doing my floors - i enjoyed it so much that i went over to my neighbors home (under the guise of helping her - heh heh!) just so i could use it some more - k, yes - it seems like the cord is too short and the water reserve seems small but both issues are trivial (unless you have furniture in front of "every" outlet) - i highly recommend this product - i just love it - and if you have hard water, set a decent amount aside for 20 minutes (or overnight) before use - or use distilled water btw: i have hardwood floors through out my home - tile in 2 bathrooms and kitchen and have had this Haan for 3 weeks - ciao

Update Sept 14, 2011Just received the replacement mop today. Not red but white, however I prefer the white (which at the time of purchase cost more), anyway so this is just fine with me.But I'm still upset that it cost me an additional $28.00 for shipping which is NON-REFUNDABLE and a lot of hassle with follow ups and dealing with their reps. I think that companies should be held responsible for a defective unit that is clearly under warranty, which means that they should pick up all the shipping cost as well.However as I stated in my title, it still the best steam mop out there. Light, portable and easy to use. Just be aware that if yours ever break, you will need to call them and get an approval to send the unit back to them ... AT YOUR COST and they WILL require proof of purchase. A printout of your Amazon receipt will suffice.Then you WILL have to call them several times for follow up because they send you no response as to when they received it or when and if they are sending you a replacement. But be persistent and you can get some action.Again, take this addendum for what it's worth.--------------------------------Addendum as of Sat Sept 10, 2011Not a word from Haan regarding my broken unit which they received on Aug 12. I called on Aug 24th and was told to call back on the 30th.I waited till Sept 1, 2011 and called again. This time I was told by their rep that no action has been taken on it and she couldn't understand why. She said that she would send out a replacement immediately and I should wait another 7 to 10 days. I asked her if they would inform me when the unit ships and she said NO. They would just ship it.Again please take this for what it's worth, seems to me that they're dragging their feet. Will keep you all updated on the final result.-----------------------------------Revised review as of today Aug 9,2011.The unit just broke again, but this time it broke in the housing area where the bottle plugs into. The surrounding plastic around the nipple area (where the bottle plugs into) separated. Note: If your unit seems to keep pumping but no steam is coming out, check this area.I called Haan and they are willing to replace the unit IF: I pick up the cost of shipping the item back to them. This is non-refundable which I feel is poor customer service since the unit is under warranty.Living in Hawaii, shipping overseas is expensive which will probably cost me around $40.00 to ship back, which means that I would have paid an extra forty dollars for the unit. Too bad they don't follow Amazon's lead because Amazon picks up the shipping cost if you return a bad item back to them.Also it will be up to Haan to determine if the unit is bad or if the unit broke due to negligence, so there is no guarantee that I will receive a replacement unit. Being that the unit broke inside, it would be hard for them to prove that the unit broke due to negligence. I will keep you folks updated on this ... We'll see what happens.For those reading this for the first time, I previously gave this unit a good review ... however seems like customer service is lacking somewhat so take this addendum for what it's worth.Previous review below:Works as well as everyone is saying except for one minor problem. The Bottle Cap. Yes, I said the bottle cap!It has a plunger in it that most likely controls the water flow. It's rubber on one side and plastic on the other side with a flimsy plastic stem and a spring in between.I have used the sanitizer about 5-6 times and when I went to remove the cap to refill the bottle, the little pieces broke loose.Further inspection of the stem revealed that it's very thin and flimsy and can easily break off.Most likely the thing was sitting crooked and was ready to break off which could explain why the unit kept pumping and pumping which I don't think it was suppose to do.I've gotten a free replacement but it took a while. I suggest that if you own one of these units that you purchase an extra cap or two just for spare parts.Other than that, the unit works better than anything else that I have tried. ... and lately, I will be using the unit a lot since one of my dogs have developed nasal cancer and her left nostril bleeds a lot. And when she gets into a sneezing fit, I have blood all over the place. Aaaargh!This unit sure comes in handy for that!

I got my Haan SI-35R Floor Sanitizer for Christmas. I use it more often than I ever did my mop and bucket or my swifter mop. I have oak hardwood, laminate, ceramic tile, vinyl, and carpet thoughout my home. I have used it on all these surfaces and absolutely LOVE it! I also use it on my throw rugs that are in the kitchen, bathroom, entryway, etc. I have used it on my living room sectional and then got a little more creative when my son got sick with a virus that he couldn't shake. I got out my Haan and vacuumed his mattress, then I took my Haan with the carpet attachment and went to town on his mattress. I think it helped to kill the bacteria that may have been hiding and now I do it on a regular basis. I have to admit I have also held it upright and have done the sides of my desk, the front of my dishwasher and trash compactor. I even took off my shower doors, laid them flat on the floor and steamed the soap film right off. Then I got the idea to run it across the floor of my tub, although it didn't get the curved part it sure did do wonders on the flat surface. I just wish there was a way I could turn it upside down and use it on my walls and ceiling. I just love how easily it cleans!

I love the simplicity of by using this steam mop! I clicked it together as they are and could fill water reservoir within the sink. It had been all set to go after thirty seconds of beginning it. I discovered the size of the cord not to be considered a large deal. It had been acceptable for me. I previously had a Eureka Enviro Steamer however it eliminate after 2 yrs. I truly loved that certain too. Both of them got really hot however i always hated the way the pads continued the Enviro and needing to make use of a funnel. The only factor the Enviro has within the Haan is the fact that it's simpler to push compared to Haan. I suppose it's the kind of pad, not necessarily sure. I'd recommend both cleaners however for me I'd stay with the Haan since it is so darn simple to use.

I have owned a couple of steam mops, this is by far the best!!!! Wagner 905 1,500-Watt On-Demand Power Steamer and Cleaner This steamer worked very well, but the attachments were very cheep! I ended up breaking the extension pole in half within 6 months of use. Also broke the plastic on the top that the hose hooked on to. (Plastic was very cheep.) Bissell Flip-!t

Haan steam floor cleaner lives up to hype. A great product that cleans tile floors like a dream. Plenty of steam power and quick start-up. We have 1300 sqft. of tile that took one hour to clean with a mop, with the Haan SI 35R it takes 20 minutes and the tile is cleaner and there is zero residule. There are very few cleaning products that I would rate as a "must have" but this is definately one! Well designed and performs beautifully..

After a few years of being annoyed with my Hoover FloorMate but thinking it's better than mopping, I purchased a Haan SI-35. I got it yesterday, used it this morning, and while I can't speak to how it holds up over time, I love the way it works!This is easy, fast and very, very quiet to use. I love that I won't be using chemicals since I have small children and a dog. It really did a great job cleaning my floor.It is small, light and didn't leave dirty water puddles on my floor. I also don't have to mess with emptying out the dirty water and rinsing a filter when I'm done, which is a major time saver.I was a little worried that it'd be a hassle to wait for the floor to dry since I have little kids who want to run around and I am impatient but by the time I finished the room, the first half was dry. It actually doesn't leave much water on the floor at all.Also, looking at it, I didn't think the water in the tank would last long because it looks pretty small. But I guess with the steam, it doesn't take much. By the time I finished the decent sized area I was cleaning, I still had half a tank of water left.I balked a little at the price, but I think it'll pay for itself pretty quickly since I won't have to buy filters and cleaning solution to use with this.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the cord could be longer, but that's minor -- that's what extension cords are for.Love it!!! So much easier and a major hassle and time saver..

This steamer is phenomenal. After spending some time going through all the reviews on Amazon for the Haan as well as the other brands that people were recommending, I decided to try this one. And I have had no regrets so far! When I first received it, I was surprised by its compact size, and was at first concerned that it might be too small to handle our entire first floor. Most of our house is covered in pre-engineered hard maple floors, and some tile (kitchen, bathroom and laundry room). We live in a 4100 sq ft home. 60% of it is the 1st floor. Anyway, this baby handles the space just fine. In fact, I only have to refill that small tank on the Haan once to do the entire 1st floor. The temperature of the steam is HOT HOT HOT!!!, and does the job right. In fact, I had several grey spots on my hard wood floor where the finish had worn down, and so dirt had accumulated in the wood. It was impossible to remove the dirt with regular wood cleaners. But with just a few passes of Haan over those areas, and the grey spots disappeared. It was amazing! In fact areas that I thought were clean, I soon found out were not clean at all when I used the Haan on them. Don't be deterred by its size, it really does job. It is lightweight, easy to maneuver, and best of all the water tank pops out easily for refills. You'll love this steamer..
